It’s a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque with all-wheel drive, a nine-speed automatic transmission and an automatic engine stop-start system as standard. The 2017 Land Rover Discovery offers customers two engine options which includes a supercharged V6 with 340 horsepower and a turbocharged V6 diesel with 254 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic transmission is the only one offered with the Discovery.

The two Land Rover SUVs also offer a difference in base MSRP as well. The 2017 Land Rover Discovery offers a base MSRP of $49,990 and the 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport offers a base MSRP of $37,695.
